Joel Hirschman has a BS and an MS degree in Electrical Engineering with the emphasis on computer engineering. His background includes 23 years with IBM in the design of hardware and software systems, specializing in large state of the art laser Printing systems. Joel founded J HIRSCHMAN Technologies in 1994, affording him the opportunity to assist a variety of businesses with both hardware and software solutions. Our completed projects demonstrate the diversity of our capabilities. Several of those projects are described on this web site. We specialize in two areas - Desktop Applications and Machine Controls Sometimes specialized desktop applications are required. For example, a data base such as Access may be required in your business. Perhaps you want to assist your customers in managing with specialized tools. We can develop these applications as well. We use the traditional C++ tools, or Rapid development tools such as Visual Basic and Builder. Because of our wide experience in this area, when supplementing your staff, we can work with whatever tools you are already using. We can assist with the design of your products by providing equipment controls and sensors. Often our customers are skilled in mechanical development, but need assistance in providing controls. We work with simple processors, such as PIC or 8051, to provide basic controls. If more complex algorithms are required, more complex processors can be used. In addition, motor drivers, sensors, and PLCs can provide additional tools to create a unique product, well suited to your application. J HIRSCHMAN Technologies is a virtual company. A unique team will be assembled for your project, with exactly the correct mix of skills. The team will be personally monitored to provide the optimal response to your needs.
